Getting Started

The project Stories of Hope and Home was inspired by the success of the play "Home" prepared, written and performed by a class of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students from St Chad's Sanctuary  during Refugee Week 2019. The play, performed to three audiences totalling over 400 people, including around 300 primary school students was a huge success. The participants expressed the significant benefits they had experienced by their involvement not just in the performances themselves but in everything that led up to that point; the feedback from those who engaged with the play was overwhelmingly positive. Everyone actively involved in it emerged thinking "we need more of this". The hope is for this project to be that "more": more opportunities for more stories to be crafted, shared and heard; more opportunities for the resultant points of human encounter. Watch this space!
